He steadily    grew volume, helped to acquire and integrate a competitor into the portfolio, and initiated a ground-breaking deal with Nike—House of Hoops—a runaway success story that is the envy of competitors.

Mr. Mina’s accomplishments span 29 years with Foot Locker, including President/CEO of Champs Sports. As President/Managing Director of Foot Locker Europe, his team doubled the operation to over 300 stores on high-profile shopping streets in fashion capitals of Europe. Global business development has long been a part of Mr. Mina’s expertise. He lived in Hong Kong while directing a $100 million

sourcing business for Woolworth Overseas Corporation. His career as a merchant began at Kinney Shoe Corporation in New York, where he rose from Merchandise Manager to Buyer.


For the past two years Mr. Mina served as President & COO of AL&S, paving a growth strategy for a sourcing and licensing business. After he helped grow revenues significantly and added intrinsic value to the company, he sold his interest back to the principals at year-end 2010.



CHARITABLE ENDEAVORS

Rick Mina is committed to helping people in need. He has served on the fundraising committee for Save the Children, spearheading donation efforts to benefit their nutrition and physical-activity initiative, an international education program, and their recent Tsunami Relief support.


Mr. Mina has been a member of the Social Services Committee and served on the Board of

Directors for the Two Ten Foundation, Inc., an organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people in the footwear industry. He received the Two Ten Foundation’s 2006 T. Kenyon Holly Award for his humanitarian achievements throughout his career. He played an integral role in the development and growth of the Foot Locker Foundation, which today is a

significant contributor to the United Negro College Fund’s scholarship program.


Rick Mina graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. A former scholarship athlete, he is an active member of the President’s Council at his alma mater and serves as a mentor for today’s aspiring students.
